I completed Bachelors Degrees in Psychology and Spanish with a minor in Women’s Studies at Albright College. I earned my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and shortly thereafter became a Bikram Certified 500 Hour Yoga Teacher. I have been practicing various forms of yoga since 2006. Outside of yoga, I have been formally practicing mindfulness and meditation for 3+ years and have completed an 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course, a silent retreat at a Theravada Buddhist Monastery, and a 3 month course on Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT).
I have worked in the field of mental health for 10 years with 5 years at The Renfrew Center, a national eating disorder treatment facility. I have completed level 2 Reiki certification in April 2017 and a 6 month Eat Breathe Thrive Facilitator training to help individuals overcome food and body image challenges with community, yoga, meditation, and psycho-education.
