Born 4 months early, at 1 pound 10 ounces, Corrine immediately experienced multiple traumas that led her to split from her soul. With an overall empathic nature, Corrine has dubbed herself a “Super-Sensor”, easily feeling the energy of people, places, and things around her. As a child, she was often absorbing other's unexpressed emotions, causing her sudden and intense emotional shifts. Misunderstood, she began to believe she had been born broken and worked to shut down her sensitivity by internalizing her emotions. This suppressed energy led to mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual issues of depression, anxiety, self-harm, eating disorders, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation.
Although unhappy, Corrine obtained bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Spanish with a concentration in Women’s Studies at Albright College. During that time, she also began Western treatment of talk therapy, nutritional counseling, and medication management. Later, with more stability and the desire to serve on a larger scale, she earned her master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. Finding only temporary relief with the Western services she was utilizing and trained to provide, she stumbled upon Eastern healing including yoga, meditation, and energy work. Past where her Western work ended, these, and others, led her deeper into herself. Corrine credits plant medicine ceremonies and her decades of work with reconnecting her to her Truth and totally transforming her previous pain and suffering.
Since 2006, Corrine has worked across all levels of mental health care including having her own therapy practice, which she closed in 2020. Working with individuals aged 12+, she specialized in supporting those with eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. Corrine is certified as a Reiki Master and as a facilitator for Heartfulness Meditation, Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT), and Eat Breathe Thrive groups. Practicing various forms of yoga since 2006, she is trained to teach both Bikram and Yin yoga. Incorporating mindfulness and meditation into her life since 2017, she has completed a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course and a silent retreat at a Theravada Buddhist Monastery.
Invitations to guest lecture at Stockton University in 2016 and 2017 initiated Corrine into sharing her story. Fostering inspiration and genuine connection through shared experiences, her passion in public speaking grew. Corrine first recorded her story in a 2018 interview with Kent Green, for Stockton’s Resiliency Project: Breaking the Silence. Later that year, at their Disordered Eating Awareness and Prevention (DEAP) Week, she discussed her journey through eating disorder recovery and led attendees in both yoga and meditation. In 2020, this was recorded when she was again invited to present. Additionally in 2020, she was selected in the Top 40 Under 40 with Atlantic City Weekly for NJ.
In 2023, Corrine joined Toastmasters International, a public speaking club, and was nominated and served as President for one term. During her time as a member, Corrine won the club, area, and division 2024 International Speech contests and took second place at the District Level. Corrine continues to be passionate about sharing her unique story of recovery by uniting mind, body, and soul through conventional and ancient avant-garde means. She, also an Ordained Minister for Spiritual Ceremonies, has a particular passion for speaking to super-sensors, psychonauts, and healing businesses.
A native to Pennsylvania, transplanted to South Carolina, in Corrine’s "copious" amounts of spare time, you may find her at live comedy shows, traveling, reading, meditating, cooking, laying in the sun, being in nature, snowmobiling, laughing, writing, lecturing, freelancing resumes, at Meher Spiritual Center in North Myrtle Beach, in classes at Burn Bootcamp Myrtle Beach, Inlet Yoga in Murrells Inlet, or at Rythmia in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, and/or spending time with her friends, family, and 13 year old Jackshund- Bentley.
